Scope

The thesis evaluated the geometric congruence between intraoral optical scans and 3D anatomical models reconstructed from CBCT data.

Workflow

  • CBCT/DICOM preprocessing and anatomical segmentation in 3D Slicer.
  • Generation of STL models from radiological data.
  • Landmark-based multimodal alignment between CBCT-derived models and intraoral scans.
  • Quantitative metrology using 2D sections, predefined measurement points and point-to-surface comparisons in Geomagic Control X.
